This device breathes in the cool air of the gallery, heats it, and blows it back into the face of the viewer while trying to pull an early version of the painting Faith off the wall. The seemingly random movement of the "brain" of the piece counters the repititous movement of its "body"- relentless in its attempts to remove the painting from its location. In this work sculpture, painting, machine, and the handmade are together yet separate, existing as contradictions and blowing their hot air back to the onlooker.
